The tier retention threshold is the minimum amount your customer must spend within each reassessment period to keep their current VIP tier. If they don’t hit this mark, they’re moved down a tier at the time of reassessment.
Example: If the Gold tier has a $250 retention threshold for every 90 days, members need to spend at least $250 in each 90-day cycle to stay in Gold—otherwise, they drop to Silver.
Note: As a merchant, you should set a threshold that motivates action but is reachable for your valued customers.
