Individual Tier Deletion #
Individual tier deletion is possible with a few steps:
What you can do:
- Go to the VIP Tier Setup
- Look for Manage VIP Tier button in the top right corner.
- Click on it.
- There will be two options – Delete VIP Tier Program and Reset VIP Tier Program.
- Click on your requirement.
- The reset/deletion will be implemented.
What happens when you disable a tier?
- Existing customers in that tier: Keep all their benefits and perks until their next reassessment cycle or upgradation
- New customers: Cannot see or enter the deleted tier.
Example:
If you delete the Silver tier, current Silver customers keep their Silver perks for their full cycle (e.g., 90 days). New customers only see Base and Gold tiers.
VIP Tier Reset #
Tier reset moves all your customers back to the base tier and restarts their tier journey from the beginning. Their tier progress, such as points or spend linked to tiers, is cleared. Your tier setup and rules stay the same, but customers start fresh. Any tier based rewards or benefits they had are removed, and they begin again as new tier members.
For example,
Suppose you have three tiers: Base, Silver, and Gold.
- A customer is currently in the Gold tier after spending $100
- Another customer is in Silver
Now you use Tier Reset.
After the reset:
- Both customers move back to the Base tier
- Their tier progress becomes zero
- Any tier based benefits they had are removed
From here, they start again. As they shop, they can move up to Silver and Gold again based on your rules.
